Reflection
This would apply to Standard 5 of the INTASC where students use content given and known to apply their knowledge to a presentation. Current tools like powerpoint were used to show how a simple slideshow can turn into a game with the help of an interactive board. This allows students to engage in the lesson instead of just watching/ taking notes. This also applies to the NETS 2 and 3. NETS 2 is about designing and developing learners in the digital age by using experiments and assignments that work with the digital age. It asks for students to develop a presentation using known or recently learned skills. NETS 3 is the actual presentation of the project that was thought through with NETS 2. Students demonstrate a fluency in technology and prove that with the development of a game for others to use on a smart board. They are also able to easily communicate their purpose with what their project entails. Along with the Excel artifact, I have taken many technology classes that dealt with how to navigate through Microsoft Office programs and produce a quality presentation. This project wasn't as hard considering the layout for the game was provided and we simply just added in our own thoughts but it would be something fun to use in a classroom to help learn basic knowledge for my future classroom.
